Terms of Use
Last updated:
Please read these terms before using this website or submitting information through it. By using this site, you agree with them.
We've tried to write these in plain language rather than dense legal wording, because most people using this site are dealing with something stressful and don't need another confusing document to get through.
Who we are
FIOS Consultants (business name, CRO 316037) is an information and advocacy service. We help people understand and pursue social welfare entitlements, pension claims, appeals, and workplace issues in Ireland.
Registered address: 8 Calbro House, Tuam Road, Co. Galway, Galway, H91 FP57

What FIOS Consultants is, and isn't
FIOS Consultants is an information and advocacy service. We are not a firm of solicitors. Using this website or submitting information through it does not create a solicitor-client relationship, and nothing on this site should be read as formal legal advice given directly to you by a solicitor. Where legal issues arise in the course of our work, our advice is that a solicitor be consulted.
As with all information you share with us, confidentiality is a matter of our own policy, not legal privilege. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
What we do:
- Help you understand what you might be entitled to
- Review your situation and tell you honestly whether we think we can help
- Where we can help, work with you (including form-filling, correspondence with government departments, appeals, and, where appropriate, coordination with legal professionals) toward a resolution
We can't guarantee any particular outcome. Decisions are made by the relevant government departments and appeals bodies, not by us.
Using the intake form
Submitting the intake form is how you ask us to review your situation. It is not a booking, and it does not commit you to paying anything. A member of our team personally reviews every submission.
Accuracy of what you tell us
Please give us accurate and honest information, as we rely on it to decide whether and how we can help.
No payment is taken through this website
This website does not take any payment. If we agree to work with you on a paid basis, the fee and scope will be agreed with you separately before any payment is made.
What we ask of you
- Don't use this site to submit false, misleading, or malicious information.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the technical systems behind this website.
- Don't include other people's names or identifying details (such as PPS numbers or addresses) in the form. Describe your situation without them, and we'll ask for what we need if we take it on.
- This website is not an emergency service. If you're in immediate danger or crisis, contact emergency services or a crisis line directly.
Limits on what we're responsible for
FIOS Consultants provides information and advocacy in good faith but can't guarantee any outcome from a government department, appeals body, or court. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.
Website content isn't legal or financial advice
Case studies and blog content on this site are general information based on past cases and shouldn't be relied on as advice for your own situation. Past outcomes don't guarantee similar results in any other case.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
