Privacy Policy
Last updated:
FIOS Consultants takes your privacy seriously. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Who we are
FIOS Consultants (registered business name, CRO number 316037) is an information and advocacy service in Ireland. What you tell us is kept confidential as our own policy, not legal privilege.
Registered address: 8 Calbro House, Tuam Road, Co. Galway, Galway, H91 FP57
Phone: 087-669-9023
What information we collect
When you use the contact form, we ask for your name, your email address, a category describing your situation, and a description in your own words.
When you submit it, we also record the date and time, your IP address, and which version of the form you used. This consent record contains no case content. It shows that you agreed to submit, when, and under which version of this policy. We don't edit it, and it is erased together with your submission.
We use what you submit only to review your situation and reply to you. We do this with your consent, given when you submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
You may choose to share health or other sensitive details. We only use them to assess your situation.
What we don't currently do with your information
It matters to us to be clear about what does not happen, not just what does:
- We don't use AI to read or process your submission.
- We don't send you an automatic email notification when you submit the form. A team member reviews submissions directly.
- We don't charge or take any payment through this website. If you go ahead with a paid consultation, that will happen through a separate process, and you'll be told clearly what you're paying for and how before any payment is taken.
- We don't use tracking cookies or analytics software to monitor your behaviour on this site.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in a secure database in the European Union, provided by Supabase. It reaches that database through Cloudflare, which handles the form's processing. Our team email runs on Google Workspace, so emails between you and us pass through Google.
Why we collect only what we need
We only ask for information we actually have a reason to use, and we won't add new questions to the form without one.
How long we keep your information
If we don't take your submission on as a case (for example, we can't help, or we don't hear back from you), we keep it for 6 months, then delete it. If we do take it on, we keep it for 6 years after the case closes.
Deleting your information
If you ask us to delete your submission, we mark it as deleted straight away and it's no longer visible to our team. It is then permanently erased on a fixed schedule.
Your rights
Under EU and Irish data protection law (GDPR), you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop using it, or restrict how we use it
- Give you a copy in a portable format
You can also object to how we use your information, withdraw your consent at any time, or complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
