Workplace Occupational Injuries
A small percentage of everyone's social insurance payment goes into an insurance fund specifically meant for payments made when accidents happen at work. Most people never hear about it until they need it.
Two main categories
Injury Benefit: a six-month payment, which can be added onto the two-year entitlement of Illness Benefit.
Disablement Benefit: a pension payment in its own right, not to be confused with the old Disability Benefit. It's payable as a supplement where entitlement to Invalidity Benefit exists, and is unusual in being a whole-of-life payment.
We work with solicitors on these payments, particularly where a Personal Injuries case is also underway.
