Home care has regularly been in the news, and it's an area where FIOS can make a real difference for people who need support to keep living at home.
The HSE Home Support Service
Introduced in 2018, this replaced the older Home Care Package Scheme. It helps older people remain living independently at home, with support for daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and general care. It's available to people aged 65 and over, and to people under 65 in certain circumstances, such as a disability or early-onset dementia.
How we help
FIOS assists with the application forms, ongoing correspondence with the HSE, following up when things stall, and connecting people with legal counsel where a case needs it.
